AT A GLANCE

Product Overview

The Z910 suits accessible exterior positions where the enclosure needs impact resistance. Its 108.6° fixed view covers the doorway and approach, while 120 dB wide dynamic range helps around backlit openings.

  • Full HD with a wide fixed view

Use 1080p coverage for a doorway, service area or passage with a defined approach.

  • Aim the camera at installation

The fixed 2.8 mm lens covers 108.6° horizontally. Set the camera position to frame the area you need.

  • Plan nighttime coverage

Infrared is rated up to 164 ft (50 m). Aim away from close reflective surfaces.

  • Match the wiring to the camera

Power the camera through an IEEE 802.3af PoE switch or injector, or use a suitable 12 V DC supply with Ethernet.

  • Protect the cable connections

Use a protected cable entry with the IP68-rated housing. The dome also has an IK10 impact rating.

  • Choose a compatible recording channel

Check the IP recorder’s supported stream, audio and event settings.

What’s included and what’s sold separately

Monitor a busy entrance with a compact outdoor dome

The ACTi Z910 is a wired 1080p mini dome with a fixed 2.8 mm lens, a 108.6° horizontal view and an IK10-rated enclosure. Choose it for an exterior doorway or service area where you want wide coverage in a compact, impact-resistant housing.

See the approach in mixed light and after dark

120 dB wide dynamic range helps preserve detail across sunny and shaded parts of the scene. Adaptive infrared illuminates up to 50 m (164 ft). Set the camera so nearby surfaces are clear of the infrared beam.

Choose the events you need to review

Use built-in people and vehicle detection, line crossing or intrusion detection to monitor an area you define. The integrated microphone provides one-way audio. Check which video, audio and event features your recorder or VMS supports before relying on them.

Plan a wired connection and recording

Connect over Ethernet using IEEE 802.3af PoE, or supply compatible 12 V DC power separately. Use a compatible recorder or VMS for local playback and choose its storage for your recording schedule.

What is included?

This offer is for one ACTi Z910 camera with its integrated 2.8 mm lens and microphone. Plan your Ethernet run, power source, recording equipment and any installation-specific mount separately.

WHY THIS CAMERA

Cover high-traffic areas with a compact dome

Plan a fixed view of the approach and keep the lower edge of the frame on the activity you need. The IK10-rated enclosure fits sites where impact resistance is a priority.

Protect an exposed mounting point

The IP68 and IK10-rated enclosure suits an exterior entrance. Protect the cable connections and allow access for service.

See a bright threshold and shaded approach

The 120 dB wide dynamic range helps balance strong backlight. Adaptive infrared is rated up to 164 ft (50 m) after dark.

Fit a long passage into the view

Use corridor mode to orient the image for a narrow passage where it helps. Confirm the orientation and playback on your recorder.

POWER, NETWORK AND RECORDING

Connect and record the Z910

Power the camera through an IEEE 802.3af PoE switch or injector, or use a suitable 12 V DC supply with Ethernet. Reserve an IP channel on your recorder or VMS.

  1. Z910 camera Captures the fixed view and provides one-way audio through its built-in microphone.
  2. Ethernet and PoE Power the camera through an IEEE 802.3af PoE switch or injector, or use a suitable 12 V DC supply with Ethernet.
  3. Local recorder Reserve an IP channel. Verify your codec, resolution and any required audio or events.
  4. Playback and retention Play back a saved clip and set the recording schedule and retention on the installed drive.

Choose the recording mode before mounting

Use a compatible 1080p IP recorder or VMS. A recorder with ONVIF Profile G can access the Z910’s edge recordings. Choose recorder support for audio and events when you need those features.

Use the lighting mode for the site

IR illumination is rated up to 50 m (about 164 ft). Aim to limit reflections from nearby surfaces.

Capture audio and events with compatible equipment

Built-in people and vehicle detection, tamper detection, line crossing and intrusion detection. Verify support on the recorder before using the events.

Control where the camera points

Set the fixed 108.6° view at installation. Review light, motion and the areas you want to capture before securing the mount.

Reference DORI distances (detection, observation, recognition and identification) are 138 / 55 / 28 / 14 ft. Actual detail depends on lighting and placement.

INSTALLATION GUIDANCE

Plan a solid mounting point and a protected Ethernet exit

Choose the mounting surface and leave room for the cable bend. Check the view on the local network before you secure the dome.

  1. Frame the area that matters

For direct mounting on a solid ceiling, plan the cable route through the ceiling or along its surface. A PMAX-0712 junction box can enclose the connections if there is no protected recess.

  2. Connect camera power

IEEE 802.3af PoE or a suitable 12V DC supply. The rated camera draw is 5 W via PoE.

  3. Protect the cable path

Protect the RJ45 pigtail and DC connection before exposing the mount to weather. Use a suitable weatherproof cable entry or junction box, and leave room for the cable bend.

  4. Verify recording and playback

Test the exact video mode in live view and save a short clip. Check playback before closing the cable route. Test audio and events if they are part of your recording plan.

PUT IT TO WORK

Check the fit before you order

Choose the Z910 for a busy doorway or passage that needs a compact, impact-resistant camera. Reserve an IP channel and a compatible power source.

You already have a recording system

Reuse the recorder if you have an available compatible channel. Confirm the stream and playback before adding installation hardware.

You want a new local recorder

Count IP channels and total bitrate, then choose the drive capacity for your retention target. The recorder and drive are sold separately.

Choose the mount for the surface

Use the PMAX-0712 for protected connection space, the PMAX-0365 for the supported wall-mount setup, or the PMAX-0820 for a compatible 4-inch round or octagonal box. See the Add-ons section for the separately sold parts.
