Keep compatible analog cameras and add IP video
The ACTi YVR-120 is a compact hybrid DVR for a small wired surveillance system. Use its four BNC inputs with compatible TVI, AHD, CVI or CVBS cameras, together with up to two IP video devices. An IP-only configuration supports up to six IP channels when no analog cameras are connected. These are alternative operating configurations, not additive capacities. Cameras are sold separately.
This offer has no hard drive installed. It includes the recorder, a USB mouse and a power adapter. A compatible SATA hard drive is required for recording to disk. Choose this configuration when you already have an appropriate drive or intend to select storage for your recording needs.
Check the cameras and recording load first
For TVI, AHD and CVI sources, the specified frame-rate limits are 20 fps at 5 MP, 30 fps at 4 MP or 1080p, and 60 fps at 720p. H.265 and H.264 compression are supported. The maximum recording throughput is 16 Mbps; outgoing throughput is up to 48 Mbps. Plan camera settings within the recording limit rather than assuming every channel can run at its highest resolution and frame rate together. Four-channel synchronized playback is supported.
ONVIF Profile S support can help with compatible IP devices, but it does not establish that every camera feature will work. Confirm the exact camera model, firmware, stream format and required functions before purchase. This recorder is a better fit for a modest analog-to-IP upgrade than a large, high-bitrate camera installation.
Storage you select, with clear capacity limits
The single SATA bay accepts a compatible 2.5-inch or 3.5-inch drive, with a specified maximum capacity of 20 TB for one disk. That is a compatibility ceiling, not installed storage. No 4 TB drive or other disk is included in this offer. Retention depends on drive capacity, camera count, bitrate, schedule and recording mode; no fixed number of recording days is promised.
Plan power, cables and local viewing
Place the DVR indoors in a protected, ventilated location. The recorder uses DC 12 V power and includes a power adapter; its specified power supply is 40 W. The single 10/100 Ethernet connection provides network access. There are no integrated PoE camera ports: IP cameras need their own suitable power and network equipment. Analog cameras also need their appropriate power source and coaxial connections.
HDMI and VGA outputs support a local monitor, with output resolutions up to 1920 × 1080. A monitor and its HDMI or VGA cable are sold separately. Two USB 2.0 ports support peripherals such as the included mouse. RCA audio input and output support compatible external audio equipment, with G.711 u-law audio compression. Microphones and speakers are separate system components.
The recorder measures 260 × 47 × 226 mm (W × H × D) and weighs 1,100 g. It is fanless. The specified operating range is 14°F to 131°F (-10°C to 55°C), with 10–90% relative humidity, non-condensing. Keep the device within those limits and disconnect power before drive installation or cable work.
Remote access and events
A web client provides remote management over an appropriately configured network. The current series manual describes a Windows PC workflow with a browser plug-in; do not assume plug-in-free support for every modern browser, Mac or phone. Confirm the intended client and firmware before choosing this recorder for a remote-only workflow.
Documented events include video motion detection, IP address conflicts, network loss and storage-related alerts. Available responses include an alert sound, email notification and a pop-up window. The available event and camera controls depend on the connected device and configuration. Use strong credentials, current firmware and a restricted surveillance network; avoid exposing the recorder directly to the public internet.

ACTi warranty and support through ClearVero
The YVR-120 carries a two-year ACTi limited hardware warranty for defects in materials and workmanship under normal use, subject to ACTi eligibility, proof-of-purchase, registration and claim terms. The current policy lists two years for the YVR series for products shipped after January 14, 2024. It does not provide an additional ClearVero warranty or a purchased extension.
Coverage excludes misuse, unauthorized repair or modification, damage from power disturbances or unsuitable environmental conditions, altered serial numbers, cosmetic damage and shipping damage. ACTi determines repair or replacement under its terms. Examination or other charges may apply to non-covered claims. After the initial 30-day return period, the customer is responsible for shipping a repair to ACTi; ACTi covers return shipping after repair. ClearVero can coordinate the claim and help identify the relevant purchase and serial-number information.
