The Lorex Connect X Series wired security system pairs an XC 32-channel network video recorder with 8TB of installed storage and a choice of 16, 20, 24, 28, or 32 white X3 dual-lens turret cameras. Each CNU01P-1SW-AB1 camera captures up to 8MP video at 30 frames per second with a 190.8° horizontal field of view, two-way audio, person and vehicle detection, and active deterrence lighting and sound. The IP66-rated cameras support color night vision when ambient light is sufficient and infrared night vision in darker conditions. The recorder supports continuous recording, smart search, and the Lorex Connect app. The recorder provides 16 built-in PoE ports and supports 16 additional IP cameras; this bundle also includes an AEX16 16-port PoE switch. Internal storage can be expanded to two drives of up to 24TB each. Camera Ethernet cables are sold separately. Remote viewing requires high-speed internet and a wired connection from the recorder to a router; the router is not included. Recording duration depends on the recording settings and scene activity. ONVIF feature compatibility varies by connected device.

Are camera cables included?

Does it use Wi-Fi or PoE?
The included cameras are wired PoE cameras. Ethernet carries power and video; remote app access requires a router and internet connection.
Is a monthly subscription required?
Local NVR recording requires no monthly subscription. Video records to the included local NVR storage; internet service for remote access remains your responsibility.
How much storage is included?
8TB is installed. Two SATA bays support up to 24TB per disk, or 48TB total internal capacity.
How long will recordings be retained?
Retention varies with camera count, resolution, recording settings, lighting and movement. No fixed duration is promised.
Does color night vision work in total darkness?
Color night vision needs sufficient ambient light. In darker conditions the camera uses infrared black-and-white night vision; stated IR range is up to 30 m in total darkness under the manufacturer conditions.
Does this camera pan, tilt or optically zoom?
No motorized PTZ or optical zoom is specified for this dual fixed-lens camera. Its panoramic horizontal field of view is 190.8°.
Can I hear and speak through the camera?
Yes. The camera has a microphone and speaker for two-way talk. Audio recording is disabled by default; observe applicable consent and privacy requirements.
Can I view the system remotely?
Yes, through Lorex Connect on iOS or Android. Connect the NVR to a router and high-speed internet. Lorex recommends at least 6 Mbps upload for reasonable video performance.
Can I use other cameras?
The recorder supports ONVIF S/T/G/M and RTSP. Confirm exact model compatibility; advanced features can differ with third-party devices.
Is the recorder weatherproof?
The IP66 rating applies to the cameras. Keep the recorder in a suitable protected location within its stated operating conditions.
Does camera microSD recording appear in the NVR app?
The camera supports independent microSD recording up to 1TB. That footage is accessed through the camera web interface and does not upload to the NVR or cloud for mobile app viewing.
Why is a PoE switch included?
The 32-channel recorder has 16 onboard PoE ports and supports 16 additional IP cameras. The included AEX16 adds 16 PoE ports for the networked cameras.
