The Lorex Connect X Series wired security system pairs an XC 16-channel network video recorder with 4TB of installed storage and a choice of 4, 8, 12, or 16 white X3 dual-lens turret cameras. Each CNU01P-1SW-AB1 camera captures up to 8MP video at 30 frames per second with a 190.8° horizontal field of view, two-way audio, person and vehicle detection, and active deterrence lighting and sound. The IP66-rated cameras support color night vision when ambient light is sufficient and infrared night vision in darker conditions. The recorder supports continuous recording, smart search, and the Lorex Connect app. The recorder provides 16 built-in PoE ports. Internal storage can be expanded to two drives of up to 24TB each. Camera Ethernet cables are sold separately. Remote viewing requires high-speed internet and a wired connection from the recorder to a router; the router is not included. Recording duration depends on the recording settings and scene activity. ONVIF feature compatibility varies by connected device.
PANORAMIC CONTEXT
Dual lenses combine a wide horizontal view with local recording. The right camera position still matters: obstacles, lighting and distance affect what can be seen.
A 190.8° horizontal view can help you follow activity across a wide scene. Confirm detail at the distances that matter.
Smart search and supported detection categories help locate recorded activity. Configure detection zones for the scene.
Two-way talk and deterrence options provide ways to respond to activity. Use audio in accordance with local requirements.
Installed hard-drive storage supports continuous recording. Retention depends on settings, camera count and scene activity.
PLAN BY LOCATION
These are planning examples, not a guarantee of detection or identification at a particular distance.
Entrances
Check the approach angle and lighting. A panoramic view adds context, but important faces may need a closer camera position.
Parking areas
Vehicle detection and unauthorized-parking analytics support configured monitoring. Test zones against traffic and obstructions.
Work areas
People counting and intrusion analytics can support a configured scene. Test performance before relying on a placement.
HOW IT CONNECTS
Ethernet carries camera power and video through PoE. Local recording takes place on the recorder.
Illustration of the X3 camera optics. Video capture supports up to 8MP at 30 fps; the camera has fixed lenses rather than motorized optical zoom.
Up to 4224 × 1848 video at 30 fps through dual fixed 2.4 mm lenses.
120 dB True WDR helps balance bright and dark parts of a scene.
Color night vision needs sufficient ambient light. Infrared operation supports darker scenes, up to 30 m in total darkness under stated conditions.
The camera is IP66 rated and operates from -40°C to 60°C. Do not submerge it; a sheltered location is recommended.
Supported camera analytics include person, vehicle, intrusion, loitering, wrong-way, unauthorized parking and people counting.
The recorder supports ONVIF S/T/G/M and RTSP. Third-party compatibility and advanced features vary by device.
BEFORE INSTALLATION
This is a wired system. Select camera positions and measure Ethernet routes before installation.
RECORDER CONNECTIONS
Recorder connection illustration. Camera Ethernet cables are shown for installation context and are sold separately. Plan routes from your camera positions to the recorder.
Check the field of view at the intended mounting location; avoid assuming full coverage from camera count alone.
Camera Ethernet cables are sold separately on this exact bundle. Plan suitable cable runs for every camera.
Keep the recorder within its -10°C to 50°C operating range. The camera IP66 rating does not apply to the recorder.
Remote viewing requires a wired router connection and high-speed internet. Lorex recommends at least 6 Mbps upload for reasonable performance.
Confirm image detail, recording, detection zones and lighting for every camera location.
Audio recording is disabled by default. Configure it only where permitted and appropriate.
